I was born in North Carolina and later moved to Virginia where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology at Hampden-Sydney College. After graduating from college, I moved to Malawi, Africa and taught Science, English, and gym for three years as a volunteer in the Peace Corps. I then moved to NYC, where I earned my Masters Degree in Science Education from Columbia University Teachers' College.
My favorite thing about BLA II is working with the student council to plan fun events for the school.
